Let's Get Going!

To all of those who still check back in on us from time to time, I'm happy to inform you that we're back. I've been busy revamping the way both Allegory Concepts and Inklination Magazine will work from the inside out. Now, I'm still working on the overhaul and the websites and additional links and so forth will be updating in roughly a week or two. Most importantly, we've been using the Ink's Blog as our main hub which will be changing. Instead ALL of our links will move the the Allegory Concept Blog. We will be using that site as the main hub of our operations.

Also, we will be hosting three events, all mainly small but they are for networking! Not only for us both for the other independent people/gig entrepreneurs and small businesses of Casper/Wyoming. We plan on hosting the first for friends and other associates. The second will be for small business' that we think will be interested in our new structure and goals. An finally our last get together will be larger than the first two with a mix of both groups so that everyone can meet. Our reason is that Our Company will be shifting to a different format once the new bits of paperwork are completed.

Some people have heard me say that A.C. would be a non-profit if I had both the money and a lawyer in my "back pocket", unfortunately I do not. Which, I think, may have been a good thing. My reason being, I never created A.C. for profit, I created it because I saw a gap in Casper and have hoping to fill it. Doing my best to re-think things given our current economy or lack there-of I've worked on expanding and defining my original idea. So many others have tried to connect Casper through networking. They've failed mainly because they only see one aspect of it or from not enough points of view. I am learning business as I go and from my perspective multiple heads and various experiences make for fewer potholes. Given, Casper needs jobs, we need business, we need to involve ourselves more within our own community and help each other to stand tall on our own two feet. I think the changes A.C. will be undergoing will be a step in the right direction.

In all, stay tuned and see how we grow and please, become a part of it. I have a great deal of work that still needs to be done and perfected before any of it can be put into play but, as always we'd love your thoughts and opinions. In fact we hope to be searching out a few of you shortly and ask your expertise on a few things! So, again, stay tuned and we hope to not disappoint.

Lack of Action

I've been otherwise occupied for quite a while now. I've allowed the magazine to slip but in favor of personal reason's. I've been fretting about taking care of my mother for the last three month's or so. I hope to get back to work on everything soon but with my computer being acting out more than my kids I'm not too sure when that's going to happen :/ I guess something other than my serious lack of cash an next to nil energy level will have to have more done to it than I have happening now. *Laughs* I've been doing more youth volunteer work but I have to do something to keep my spirits. I mean, my kids help but when I have time (not that it's much) I try to give back.

At this point Inklinations/Allegory Concepts has no cash flow an since my idea is relatively new there isn't very much raw data to use for my business plan. Heh, an a lack of data and an overall clear view of how the world at large will receive us with our 'declining' economy really doesn't strike inspiration into ones heart. *Sighs* The funny thing is that we don't need much but when you need even a little, what you don't have seriously counts. An to be honest, I just don't have any more of my own money to throw at this. Other duties call, you know. I do have some numbers I can call but I feel un-inclined to both people with 'our' issues. Heh, I've worked countless hours on this project but there is only so much one person can do! *Laughs*

For those who have any questions or to voice your disappointment, please feel free. I'm the only one of the crew that maintains any and all of our stuff so it will get to the right person *Grins* Otherwise I'd suggest you check out Bedlam Publishing, the boy's there have been on a roll ^_^

Yeah, we're back . . . finally!

For those of you who may know me personally, you may or may not know about my mother's circumstances. Well, those circumstances popped up its ugly head and we had a bit of a scare. So, until the end I'll be taking care of her and that has put quite a bit of strain on both my time and emotional output. Luckily though, I'm a fairly tenacious individual and I hope to slowly work back into where we were an move from a slow walk to a quick jog. As figurative as that is, I hope you will all have just a bit of patients with me since I somewhat dropped off the map. Still here though!

Also, last Monday I attended a seminar that was being held at the Natrona County Public Library that was for entrepreneurs or just people just looking for the right way to go about gaining funding (which we are!). The seminar was great! It was very informative, most things did not apply to us but it was all very enlightening none the less! I met a couple of very knowledgeable people who I hope to get back in touch with since they are excellent references and also excited about the Ink!

All in all we will keep toiling away.

We're Official!

I thought I would let everyone know that as of the beginning of the week our Allegory Concepts, Incorporated is legitly certified! Some of you know we were having some technical problems with our paperwork (we were missing a few things). So, now we are all settled and we are good! Yeay us! In celebration of such a mini momentous occasion I thought I would post our new magazine logo. Also, our site has a bit of a change to go with the new look. Drop us a line and let us know what you think! -Lynn

Quick Update

To make a long story short, Rob and I have both been disgustingly sick and Sam's been enjoying himself vacationing. The lucky sod. So, we are a bit behind at the moment. Otherwise we have hit a few small snags but we will work our way out of them. Before, and while, I have been sick I worked on some of our logo's and am still working on some new changes to the Ink itself. I hope to get the new .jpeg's of the Ink uploaded by tomorrow or so.

For those who had asked for a price quote, my apologies but we are having a heck of a time trying to nail down a local and timely printer. I think now I am on the right track, so we will see!

Also, we have a group on facebook, if anyone cares to join. An that is about it for now! Thank you everyone for being patient with us!

New Ink Sample Pages & Working on Awareness

On the left hand of the page there is a handy little slideshow. I have made some changes, well many changes, to the magazines sample and loaded them all online and have them there for your convenience. This way anyone can look at it at anytime. We are still having four samples made since, like us, many people would rather see something physical than just an image on the screen. So, this is just for anyone to look and give us feed back on. (For those wondering, the text in the sample is not a foreign language, it is just filler text. A real issue will have actual English!)

We are currently working on our press release. Our mighty word master, Sam, was on a week's vacation, so at this point, I only have the outline done. He will fill it in and make it sound fantastic! So, give us a bit, and we will also be e-mailing some individuals as well as working on our other endeavors for public awareness and participation.

Also, this is a sub-note, but along with Inklination Magazine, we also have Allegory Concepts, which is our attempt to have a varying array of artists and others available to work for you. Allegory is not an advertising firm, it is just for those who are looking for reliable musician's, graphic designers, photographers, and writers to work on something specific. We will be putting up another blog of sorts for them and helping to get their names and work out there. There is no time frame on this; it is more a few steps behind the mag in terms of a finished product. Any questions or comments please e-mail us at allegoryconcepts@gmail.com!
